The old man listening to the TV on loud volume is the definition of atmosphere. Food is fresh, food is good, the options for menu del día are more varied than some restaurants whole menus, and it is also dirt cheap. They don't mention that wine and bread is included, so they're not trying to scam anyone - just trying to feed them.

La Tuna is a family owned restaurant with authentic and traditional cuisine. We enjoy coming because their Menu Del Dia menu is affordable, ffers many varieties, delicious, and generous portions. It's a must when you visit Madrid.

Vivía en Chamberí hace mucho tiempo, pero la verdad que no había conocido este sitio y ayer por casualidad entré y la verdad que vaya sorpresa con la buena atención y la comida ! Pedimos dos cocidos madrileños y vayaaaaaa sabor y atención . Recomendado al 1000, si queréis comer caserito a buen precio este sitio lo merece

This is not high gourmet quality but for some 14 euro (spring 2025) you can have an excellent menu of the day consisting of two courses plus dessert plus drink (water, wine, beer...). For instance today starters were Russian Salad or peas with ham or pisto manchego (mixed vegetables) or white beans with sausage or chard or crab salad that I remember. Main course was grilled salmon or fried whole rooster or villaroy breasts grilled chicken etc. Dessert was ice cream or melon or watermelon or cherries or chocolate cake or banana. One bear or glass of wine 11 euro. Do not expect them to speak English but expect a home made good product range menu.

I went there often in 1984, I lived in the same street. Menu for 300 pesetas. Was always good. I have gone back and they recognized me. I adore that place. Next trip to Madrid and I will lunch in La Tuna.

Me encanta este restaurante. La comida buena casera , local tranquilo y limpio. Carlos el camarero es muy servicial simpático. Todos los findes de semana voy porque me encanta de verdad si pudiera ir todos los días iría porque se come muy bien. Lo mejor de los sábados es el arroz negro que les sale espectacular. Hay variedad tanto si quieres comer frito o a la plancha , caliente o frio De postre tienen tartas, fruta , flan casero Los Recomiendo 100 x 100
